Bio

Manny Rutinel is the CEO of Climate Refarm—a company leveraging carbon offset credits to pay food providers to switch to plant-based options. He is also an Associate Attorney for Earthjustice’s Sustainable Food and Farming Program. Manny received his J.D. from Yale Law School. While in law school, he was a summer law clerk at the Animal Legal Defense Fund and San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, a Field Organizer for the Georgia runoff elections, and a Research Assistant for the Harvard Animal Law and Policy Program. Previously, Manny was an economist for the US Army Corps of Engineers, where he also served as a First Responder to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. Manny holds an M.S. in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and both a B.S. in Microbiology and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida.
